EPDM Shock Cords
FLAT Rigs™ 15" EPDM shock cord is one reason why we don't look- nor perform like traditional bungee. These shock cords are manufactured from 100% EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer). There is absolutely no rubber mixed with this polymer- therefore, no "black-stuff" (actually what would be rubber)will ever rub off on your boat gunnels or hands. These UV resistant and waterproof cords are guaranteed against excessive stretch, cracking, chaffing, breakage, and corrosion for 3- full years.

Ronstan Block Pulleys
FLAT Rigs incorporates the finest Ronstan block pulleys or a 316 AISI stainless steel Ring.

Halyard Line
FLAT Rigs™ incoprporates the hifghest grade 500lb. Dacron Halyard Line available. We chose to use high-end/high quality Dacron for its' limited- to "zero" stretch characteristic that will ensure your lines stay as tight as the day they are configured. In addition, Dacron is UV resistant and will maintain its' color. The result is a halyard line that will stay as good looking as it is strong for the life of the product.
150lb snap swivels
FLAT Rigs™ Professional Outrigger Kits incorporate 150lb snap swivels- used to fasten to the outrigger release clip and tied to the haylard line.These swivels and snaps are manufactured from brass on precision machinery, insuring a smooth and precise swivel action that prevents kinking and twisting of the line. The eyes will not pull out even under the most severe strains.
Urethane Stop Balls
FLAT Rigs™ Professional Outrigger Kits contain 2 urethane "stop" balls that prevent your outrigger release clips from hitting the end outrigger eyes. You won't find any cheap cork ball stops in FLAT Rigs™ kits- we prefer to use UV resistant urethane that won't chip apart and are guaranteed to stay better looking longer.
Stainless steel pad eyes
FLAT Rigs™ Professional Outrigger Kits contain 2- 316AISI stainless steel pad eyes and 4- 316AISI stainless steel screws that fasten your FLAT Rigs shock cords to your gunnels/t-top, etc. Although extremely strong and sturdy, these "low profile" pad-eyes are less than 1/2" high and softly rounded. These pad eyes are big enough to securely fashion your cords to the boat, yet small enough to go unnoticed when not in use.
Snap hooks
Avoiding the deteriorating combination of dissimilar metals, FLAT Rigs™ shock cords are connected to the 316 AISI stainless steel pad eye with a durable 316 AISI stainless steel “snap hook.” We pay attention to the details- and have made sure all of the components in our assemblies have been sensibly engineered and thoroughly “thought through” to provide our customers with a truly professional grade product.
Barrel Swivels
FLAT Rigs™ Professional Outrigger Kits also include the highest quality brass barrel swivels available (2 in our single kits, and 4 in our double-kits). Fed in-line through the halyard line and slightly crimped, use the barrel swivel to adjust halyard tension between the deployed and retracted outrigger positions. Incorporating these barrel swivels prevents loose halyard lines and release clips from bouncing against your outrigger poles and tangling when running to your favorite fishing grounds.
